"Jam" bands
| I don't really understand the term "Jam" as a genre of music. All the Jam bands I've ever heard were merely really good bands that like to put all sorts of influences into their music and love to play together more then to make music just to sell records. I don't understand why people have to give these bands a genre, especially "Jam." Jamming is just playing and enjoying music, usually with a lot of improvisation. Bands like Led Zeppelin used to jam all the time, but we don't call them "Jam Bands."
